Join Jill Sowards of Violetear Studio at Cabrillo College in Aptos for this hands-on workshop all about growing gorgeous dahlias. Dahlias are one of summer's most spectacular and generous blooms — and with the right know-how, anyone can grow bountiful displays. In this workshop, we will cover tuber selection and planting, staking and pinching for more blooms, seasonal care including deadheading, mulching, and heat wave management, how to cut and condition your flowers, and how to divide and store tubers at the end of the season. You will receive a take-home reference guide. All levels welcome.
